COME HEAR PERFORMANCES BY ALL FOUR MIAMI CHORAL ACEDEMY ENSEMBLES AND THE MIAMI CHORAL ACADEMY COMBINED CHOIR, A CHOIR OF 150 YOUNG SINGERS FROM FOUR COMMUNITIES OF MIAMI. |
MIAMI, FL May 23, 2011- The Miami Choral Academy, Seraphic Fire’s tuition-free after school choral program for children in underserved communities of Miami-Dade County, will hold its 2011 Spring Choir Festival at the Church of St. Martha’s (9221 Biscayne Blvd. Miami Shores, FL 33138).
Seraphic Fire’s Miami Choral Academy, directed by award-winning composer Shawn Crouch, is creating a network of youth choirs in disadvantaged Miami neighborhoods, promoting academic and social growth through participation in choral singing. The Miami Choral Academy aims to inspire students to participate in the arts, encouraging self-confidence, teamwork, dedication and academic excellence.
The Miami Choral Academy’s Spring Choir Festival is free and open to the public.
