After working with 65 arts organizations for more than two years, the DeVos Institute of Arts Management at the Kennedy Center will return to Miami for a second, more intensive round of consulting.

The one-year program, which starts Nov. 8, is being referred to as the second phase of Capacity Building: Miami, which took place from January 2010 through September 2012.

Ten arts groups in Miami-Dade will participate for free thanks to funding by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation and the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs. The groups were chosen through an application process.

The organizations will be able to consult with experts on planning, fundraising and other issues specific to their needs.

Participating groups are: Bass Museum of Art; The Black Archives History & Research Foundation; Cannonball; enFAMILIA, Inc., Art and Family Education Center; Locust Projects; Miami Light Project; Miami Theater Center; Seraphic Fire & Firebird Chamber Orchestra, Miami Choral Academy; Tigertail Productions and The Wolfsonian–Florida International University.
