MIAMI, FL – Seraphic Fire, Miami’s GRAMMY®-nominated ensemble, will launch their 12th season on October 12 with an invitation-only gala event featuring opera superstar Vivica Genaux, her only Florida appearance this season. Held at the Rubell Family Collection, the exclusive musical event includes a cocktail reception and concert by Ms. Genaux, and will be attended by Seraphic Fire’s major donors and South Florida’s cultural leaders. The event, open to Seraphic Fire donors who give $2,500 annually, promises to be a who’s who of the South Florida social scene.

The Season Opening Celebration with Vivica Genaux is at 6:00 pm on Saturday, October 12, at the Rubell Family Collection, 95 NW 29th St Miami, FL 33127. Tickets are available only to Seraphic Fire donors at the Sponsor level (at least $2,500 annually). The event includes cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, complimentary valet parking, and the private recital by Ms. Genaux. Internationally-renowned mezzo-soprano Vivica Genaux is one of the world’s most in-demand singers of the Baroque and Bel Canto repertoire, and enchants audiences with her vocal fireworks and electric stage presence. Opera News has gushed that “something special happens when she starts to sing—something that sets off a thrill, something that her warm, vibrant tone, razor-sharp diction, boldness of attack and sensational technique only begin to explain.” The Season Opening Celebration is Ms. Genaux’s only Florida appearance in a busy season that also includes performances with the Chicago Symphony, Wiener Staatsoper, and Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra.
